Interview #4: Sarah Kristine Balint

After a bit of a hiatus, we have another interview!

I’ve been in transition relocation from Japan to Australia and do not have access to internet a majority of the time, but I will do my best to keep this site active. If anyone is interested in volunteering to help manage the site, please contact me!

Anyway, this is an inspiring interview with a woman who is well known in the adoptee community. Sarah is a giver and an inspiration. Through her fundraiser, Let’s Create Something Beautiful, she raised thousands of dollars to purchase much-needed supplies–mostly diapers, as requested–for an orphanage in Korea, Eastern Social Welfare Society. She was so successful that she raised another few grand for another trip back.

Let’s hear more about the woman with a big heart for children, fellow adoptees, and puppies!

Adopted the Comic

This comic project only lasted a few years, but there are some gems with which many adoptees can relate. The creators, two Vietnamese adoptees, take adoption seriously but also recognize that having a few laughs does no harm. In fact, it can aid in healing. Welcome to Korean Adoptee Spotlight!

This is a new website to feature adult Korean adoptees around the world. There are over 200,000 Koreans adopted overseas since the 1950s and each person has a unique story and experience.

As this is a new concept, the site will continually change as the community grows and develops. Suggestions and comments are always welcome, so don’t hesitate to contact me.
